Is someone you know a 'hidden' carer?
Wed, 30 Mar 2022

In a 2020 report, carersuk.org estimated that as many as 13.6 million people in the UK were informally caring for someone else. Caring for a family member or friend can come with a mental, emotional, and physical toll, and carers are often unaware of the support that is available to them or even recognise themselves as a carer.

That's why we've launched a new course to help raise awareness of informal or unpaid carers - often known as hidden carers. It will give you an insight into the impact that caring could be having on your friends, family, colleagues or your team members. It will also help you to recognise the signs of someone that could be a hidden carer and may need additional support.

So whether you're a carer yourself and would like to know more about the help and support available or you would just like a better understanding of what friends, family or colleagues might be going through, this course is the ideal starting point.

As an eLearning course you can log on and learn at a time that's convenient to you, and it should take you around 40 minutes to complete. You can find out more and sign up on course finder.
