Return to work and COVID-19 guidance update
Mon, 28 Mar 2022

Blended workers will formally begin a phased return to the office from today, Monday, 28 March 2022, with the official launch of new blended working arrangements.

COVID-19 remains a notifiable disease, which means that cases must be reported to the UK Health Security Agency and sufficient protections be in place to mitigate against infection in the workplace.

In view of this and until such time that national guidance is updated and reviewed by our public health colleagues, we will continue to follow our current safe systems of work and maintain our risk assessment approach across all council sites.

This means continuing to:

  • ventilate spaces
  • wear face coverings in communal areas (unless exempt)
  • provide cleaning materials in office spaces and communal areas
  • occupy and make use of rooms safely
  • manage any identified risks to unvaccinated, high-risk or vulnerable colleagues and visitors through risk assessment
  • not place staff face-to-face without additional interventions such as screens

This all remains in place until review, which is likely to be mid to end of April at the earliest.
