Mandatory COVID-19 vaccinations revoked for health and social care staff
Mon, 28 Mar 2022

Mandatory COVID-19 vaccinations are no longer a condition of deployment across all Health and Social Care with effect from Tuesday, 15 March 2022.

The Government have now revoked the regulations that made vaccinations a condition of deployment for health and social care staff with effect from 15 March 2022 onwards.

For this reason, it is no longer a requirement for anyone working in or visiting a CQC regulated care home to be fully vaccinated against Coronavirus (COVID-19).

Thank you to everyone that has completed the full course of vaccinations to protect yourself and the vulnerable in our community. The take-up of vaccination in the East Riding area has been very positive, resulting in a great overall level of protection and reduced risk of serious illness. Despite the change in legislation, the council will continue to promote vaccinations against COVID-19, in keeping with NHS and public health guidance.

Information about the COVID-19 vaccine can be found at Vaccination (eastriding.gov.uk)
