Mindfulness training for council employees

As part of the Public Health service's continued commitment to health and wellbeing and more 'brain friendly' approaches to work, the service is offering a range of mindfulness training for employees.

Mindfulness involves bringing increased awareness to the unfolding of present moment experience with curiosity, openness and acceptance.

As with any skill mindfulness takes practice, something which these mindfulness courses are designed to support you in establishing.

Mindfulness for stress reduction

Mindfulness for health and wellbeing introductory session: 26 April, 10am - 12.30pm

Mindfulness for stress reduction course dates: 10 May - 5 July (excluding 31 May half-term), 10am - 12.30pm

Mindfulness-based compassionate care

Introductory session: 27 April, 10am - 12.30pm

Course dates: 11 May - 6 July (excluding 1 June half-term), 10am - 12.30pm

Mind training series (open to all)

Introductory session: 28 April, 10am - 12.30pm

Course dates: 12 May - 7 July (excluding 2 June half-term), 10am - 12noon
