Register for the Financial Inclusion Forum taking place next week
Mon, 06 Jun 2022

An interactive forum is to be held focusing on the help and support available to all staff facing challenging financial times as the cost of living crisis starts to bite.

The next equality, diversity and inclusion forum will be held via teams on Wednesday, 15 June between 10.30am and 12.10pm and this month will focus on financial inclusion to make staff aware of the help available within the council as well as from external organisations and to ask for your ideas on further support.

Experts from the Money and Pensions Service, Citizens' Advice Bureau and Hull and East Yorkshire Credit Union, as well as council officers, will give advice and support as staff deal with the increase in household bills and the rising cost of fuel and food prices.

The forum is open to all staff and will provide vital information for everyone from those who are currently managing financially but are concerned about the future, those who are, or may be approaching financial crisis point and those who may be supporting family or friends with their finances.

Paul Bellotti, executive director of communities and environment, said: "The wellbeing of our staff is important to us and we are very much aware of the difficulties caused by the increase in the cost of living.

"We know there will be members of staff facing financial challenges and in this session people will not only hear from a range of speakers but they will also be signposted to a range of information, help and support."

The financial inclusion forum will take place on Wednesday, 15 June starting at 10.30am.
