Financial inclusion staff forum update
Mon, 20 Jun 2022

The latest Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) forum on financial inclusion took place on Wednesday, 15 June.

The EDI forums, which are run on a quarterly basis, have been set up as part of a range of initiatives to include staff in our conversation and to allow them the opportunity to influence decision making in 2022.

This was the fifth EDI forum so far.

The aim of the forum was to highlight the help and support available to staff as the cost of living crisis starts to bite. At the event, we heard about the support available from within the council as well as from external organisations.

Speakers from our revenues and benefits team, the Money and Pensions Service, Hull and East Riding Citizens Advice and Hull and East Yorkshire (HEY) Credit Union highlighted what support is on offer right now.

Attendees gave their views in a range of discussions about the challenges that they are facing right now and fed back on areas where more support may be needed. The feedback will be shared with all staff over the forthcoming weeks.

A recording from the event is available to watch below.
