One week to go until the Queen's Baton Relay arrives in East Yorkshire

Anticipation is building with just one week to go until the East Riding welcomes the Queen's Baton Relay to the streets of Beverley and Market Weighton.

On Wednesday, 13 July 2022, East Riding of Yorkshire will officially welcome the Baton.

The route for the Baton's time in East Riding of Yorkshire is as follows:

  • BEVERLEY - STARTS at Beverley Minster (10:17) - Highgate - Wednesday Market - Toll Gavel - Saturday Market - North Bar Within - New Walk - Molescroft Road - ENDS near Longcroft School (10:50)
  • MARKET WEIGHTON - STARTS at Beverley Road roundabout (11:16) - High Street - Holme Road - ENDS near Sandwalk, before A1079 roundabout (11:30)

Members of the public are encouraged to get involved with the celebrations and embrace the arrival of the Baton, taking the opportunity to experience the buzz of Birmingham 2022 in their community.

The East Riding will be represented on the day with numerous Batonbearers from the area. One of the Bearers will be local fundraiser Luke Lambert from Driffield.
