The council are holding two drop-in public engagement events next week to gather feedback on major transformation projects for East Riding Leisure (ERL) Goole and the Treasure House.

Goole Hub - Inside

People living in Goole and the surrounding area are being invited to have their say on a £12m project which will transform ERL Goole into the Goole Hub.

The exciting proposals, which will be part-funded by the Goole Town Deal, will see the current leisure centre extensively extended and re-modelled to include new leisure activities as well as incorporating a new community hub which will include a state-of-the-art library, customer service centre and museum.

The public engagement event will take place at ERL Goole between 10am and 6pm on Thursday, 25 August and those attending will be able to have their say on the plans as well as the other proposed leisure activities, which include:

  • 10-pin bowling
  • soft play areas
  • laser tag
  • a new learner pool
  • food court

* The drop-in public engagement session will be held between 10am and 6pm on Thursday, 25 August 2022.

BEVERLEY HUB - EXISTING FRONT CORNER VIEW

Plans to transform the Treasure House into a Beverley Hub that will see existing council services all under one roof are also to go on display for members of the public to have their say.

People in Beverley and the surrounding area are invited to a public engagement drop-in event between 10am and 6pm on Tuesday, 23 August where they will be able to give their views on the £3m project.

Under the plans, the Treasure House will be renamed the Beverley Hub and will include a new customer service centre and enhanced library while the council's registration services will relocate from Walkergate House. Plans for landscaping Champney Gardens will also be on display.

* The public engagement drop-in session will take place at the Treasure House, Champney Road, Beverley between 10am and 6pm on Tuesday, 23 August, 2022.
