Children in Need 2019
Wed, 13 Nov 2019

Staff all across the council are being asked if they would like to get involved in a dress down day to raise money for Pudsey Bear, with Children in Need coming up on Friday, 15 November.

To take part, staff are asked to get their line manager or head of service’s approval and are encouraged to bring in a donation of £1 for collection.

With Christmas coming just around the corner, staff are also being invited to donate to The Silent Kitchen community group rather than send each other Christmas cards.

Silent Kitchen is made up of a group of volunteers who give their time every Tuesday to feed the homeless on the streets of Hull. The group receives very little funding and most of the food is bought or cooked by the group’s members.

If anyone would prefer to donate any items, such as individually wrapped cakes, biscuits, crisps, fruit or toiletries, contact Natalie Sweeting at natalie.sweeting@eastriding.gov.uk

For any financial donations across the two fund-raisers, contact Clare Greaves at clare.greaves@eastriding.gov.uk or call (01482) 394828.

A huge thank you to all staff who got involved in the recent Halloween tombola, which saw £160 raised in less than two hours for the Hull and East Riding Mind charity.
