People Services update

Business Services are currently dealing with a higher than usual volume of recruitment. To avoid any unnecessary delays to your recruitment process, please ensure to include the latest version of all documents with any requests, all of which should be available below.

Managers are encouraged, wherever possible, to avoid holding in person interviews. Interview methods such as video or telephone conference facilities should be facilitated, whilst ensuring standard/ safeguarding recruitment procedures are followed. In person interview arrangements should be co-ordinated in accordance with existing team protocol arrangements. The assessment method for candidates should be the same per recruitment exercise, you should not combine in person and virtual interviews for the same recruitment for different candidates.

Throughout the recruitment process, it is important to ensure candidates receive regular contact. Please consider this when scheduling any short-listing or assessments, to avoid any unnecessarily long periods of delays between your advert and assessments. This should also be considered during the preferred candidate stage, where it is essential for managers to make direct and regular contact with candidates.
