Service update

Recruitment Services are currently prioritising recruitment to areas delivering critical services including the current Choose Care Campaign which may result in restricting other activity to ensure that we are able do so.

Managers are asked to consider if progressing with recruitment is necessary and critical to deliver current services prior to sending to recruitment services to be progressed. If you do still wish to progress with recruitment you need to be aware that there may be delays and usual deadlines cannot be guaranteed.

With respect to current vacancies being advertised Managers are asked to consider guidance around COVID-19 to avoid holding face to face interviews and use alternative methods such as video or telephone conference facilities, ensuring standard/ safeguarding recruitment procedures are followed.

For vacancies in progress with a preferred candidate, it may be necessary to delay arranging a start date however where a formal offer or start date has already been agreed, those agreements should be honoured. For further advice and support please email
