Free bike safety equipment and advice at Goole & Carnaby depots
Wed, 20 Nov 2019

The council's road safety team will be visiting the Goole and Carnaby depots on Thursday 21 November to give away free bike safety equipment and offer advice.
The team is running a Distance Makes The Difference campaign, giving tips to drivers and cyclists on the importance of giving space to cars and bicycles on the road to avoid accidents.
Road safety officers will be at the Goole Depot from 9am-11am, and at the Carnaby Depot from 1pm-3pm.
They will be on hand to chat to staff and will be giving out free equipment including hi-vis vests, bike lights, arm bands, ice scrapers ... plus magazines, leaflets and DVDs.
A similar event was held at County Hall in Beverley last month as part of SAFEPLACE Week, the annual health and safety week for staff in Communities and Environment.
