Tue, 03 Dec 2019

December’s issue of The Grapevine is now out and available to read in magazine format and on the intranet.

In this month’s issue, the council was called into action to deal with localised flooding both in the East Riding and in support of Doncaster Metropolitan Borough Council, following the widespread flooding across South Yorkshire.

Also in this issue, Didi Conn – star of the hit musical Grease – is featuring in the panto at Bridlington Spa this year and talks exclusively to The Grapevine about her career and how she is looking forward to visiting the East Yorkshire coast.

The Day in the Life feature focuses on teacher Kim Dallimore and staff at Hornsea Nursery School and the range of activities they offer to children, including a festive story time in the run up to Christmas.

In the latest Questions and Answers feature you can discover more about Ian Burnett and find out some of the career highlights of the head of asset strategy.

Council News reports on more fantastic achievements for council staff, teams and projects.

In addition there are the latest Shop & Save offers, Competitions and Staff News.

Next month's Q&A is with Paul Abbott, head of housing, transportation and public protection, so feel free to send him your questions by emailing the.grapevine@eastriding.gov.uk or calling the press office on ext 1442 before Tuesday, 10 December.

You can also send content ideas and submissions, as well as feedback about the magazine, to the.grapevine@eastriding.gov.uk
