LGBT+ Employee Forum session
Tue, 17 Dec 2019

The next LGBT+ Employee Forum session will take place on Friday, 17 January at The Point meeting room, County Hall, Beverley, at 12.30pm.

The forum welcomes anyone who is LGBT+ and provides a safe space to meet colleagues and gain peer support.

LGBT+ stands for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender/transsexual. The ‘plus’ is inclusive of other groups, such as queer, asexual, intersex, questioning etc.

Employees are also welcome to attend who may have a loved one that is LGBT+ or want to find out more about how they can be inclusive and supportive of their colleagues.

Mel McKee, public health officer, said: “The Forum also has a group for employees that can’t attend meetings but would still like to participate and will be hosting drop-ins at different East Riding sites in the next few months.”

The date for the February meeting is Monday, 17 February at 12.30pm in The Point meeting room in County Hall, Beverley.

The event is free and no booking is required.

Future dates for the rest of the year will be publicised in The Grapevine.
