Mission Christmas a success
Fri, 20 Dec 2019

The business management and commissioning accommodation team collected toys for the Viking FM Mission Christmas appeal and thanks to all staff who contributed, a massive 19,945 applications requesting gifts for children were received, that’s 371 more children than last year.

Victoria Smith, business change officer, said: “The presents the staff donated have been delivered to the Mission Christmas Headquarters in Prince’s Quay, Hull, and I would like to say a massive thank you to everyone who has taken the time to purchase gifts and support a worthy cause.

“Because of the generosity our staff have shown, a large number of children across Hull and the East Riding will wake up to presents on Christmas morning.

“These children are identified through social services, healthcare providers, schools, women’s refuges, hospices, youth groups, children’s homes, charities and children’s centres.”
