Obituary for Paul Whittaker
Thu, 09 Jan 2020

Colleagues in supplies have paid tribute to popular stores assistant Paul Whittaker, (49) who died suddenly during the Christmas holiday break.

Paul, who had worked in supplies for 27 years, was known to his friends as ‘Wolo’ and had a key role at the warehouse in dealing with unloading and checking the many deliveries from suppliers.

Procurement manager Pete Arden said: “It was a job at which Paul excelled and worked extremely hard and it was with deep sadness that colleagues learned of his death.

“Paul was known for his joviality and sense of humour and he enjoyed catching up on his favourite 70’s and 80’s comedy classics such as On the Buses and Steptoe and Son. He was also a lover of rugby league and a keen supporter of Hull FC.

“Paul was a real family man and leaves his partner, Dawn, and six children, three of whom are under the age of 10.  He will be sadly missed.”

A GoFundMe page has been set up to support Paul's family - www.gofundme.com/f/tf3bce-funeral-costs?utm_source=whatsapp-visit&utm_medium=chat&utm_campaign=p_cp+share-sheet
