Thinking of adoption?
Mon, 13 Jan 2020

Could you adopt a sibling group? At the start of the New Year many people are considering starting their family and thinking that adoption might be the way forward.
If you are one of those people and feel that you could welcome a sibling group into your family, then we would like to hear from you. In the North Yorkshire and Humber area there are more than 30 children in sibling groups waiting for loving secure homes, whose ages range from one to eight years old.
There are lots of positives to adopting siblings. Children who are adopted together are more likely to settle in to their new home quickly, develop key social skills like sharing, as well as nurturing their own identity and sibling bond. It also means you only have to go through the adoption process once to create your ready-made family!
One Adoption welcomes adopters from all walks of life, regardless of race, religion, sexuality or marital status. What matters is that you are able to give children who might not have had a great start in life, a stable and happy home through to adulthood.
