What is in the January edition?
The January podcast includes an interview with Cherie Norman, employment services manager, about changes to payslips for all staff; a look ahead to National Apprenticeship Week with senior organisational development officer Anna Bennett; a chat with Sarah Asquith, civic officer, about her award in the Queen’s New Year’s Honours List; a look ahead to the 2020 Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition at Sewerby Hall and Gardens; details of the LGBT Plus employee forum; and a great competition to win a pair of tickets to see Midnight Train to Georgia at Bridlington Spa.

What is a podcast?
A podcast is a series of digital audio files made available on a regular basis. Podcasts can be listened to online or downloaded onto a computer or mobile device to listen to later.

Who are the podcast’s presenters?
I Heard It Through The Grapevine is presented by Steve Eccles from the press office and Helena Cox, curator of Beverley Art Gallery, and is produced in association with Beverley FM, using its studios and technical expertise.

What else do I need to know?
When listening to the podcast, staff are reminded to be mindful of other work commitments and to have consideration for other members of staff. Please use headphones, where possible, and be able to respond to any audible fire alarms and telephones.

Can I make suggestions for future editions?
Staff are encouraged to submit their ideas for items to be included in future editions by emailing pressoffice@eastriding.gov.uk

How do I take part in the competition?
After listening to the podcast, staff wishing to enter the competition should email their answer to pressoffice@eastriding.gov.uk and put ‘Podcast Competition’ as the title.
