Senior leaders' degree apprenticeship taster event in February
Tue, 18 Feb 2020

There is currently a wide range of leadership and management apprenticeship qualifications available to staff who are both new to management (including those wishing to develop skills to be a manager) and those who have been a manager/leader, wishing to enhance their skills further.

The Master's Apprenticeship Degree is dedicated to developing principled, innovative global leaders who generate ideas that advance management practice and transform the future.

This course aims to develop leaders who set vision, direction, purpose and strategic intent, and challenge assumptions in the quest for deeper understanding and smarter, more effective solutions. It also aims to develop inclusive approaches to leadership which advance sustainable, ethical, innovative and supportive cultures to achieve results.

A number of our staff have already applied to York St. John University, to join the next cohort of learners in April 2020 - but there are spaces available if staff are interested.

The university is running an Executive MBA Masterclass - a free half-day taster event where you will experience first-hand how the programme is taught; how to manage the requirements of the programme; and the tangible benefits that this apprenticeship can deliver as an infrastructure for embedding senior leadership development.

The masterclass event - which takes place from 8.30am on Friday, 28 February at the York Campus, Lord Mayors Walk, York - is aimed at individuals who wish to enhance their leadership skills (middle and senior management and corporate leaders). It will cover:

  • The student experience, programme content, teaching and learning
  • A module masterclass
  • Understand the expectation and the impact of The York Executive MBA on your business.

If interested in the Executive MBA taster event, please discuss this opportunity with your line manager and book your place here.

For a flavour of the programme and course content, please see this literature from the university. And if you would like to discuss this apprenticeship qualification, please contact the apprenticeship team on (01482) 391167 or erycapprenticeshipservice@eastriding.gov.uk
