Delivery and collection schedule for postal services at County Hall

Description

The following delivery and collection schedule for postal services at County Hall will become operative with immediate effect.

The collection/delivery points will be as follows:

A Block

In the foyer near the staircase to the rear of the building

 

 

B Block

On the ground floor next to the lift

 

 

C Block

Bottom of the stairs in B block under the archway linking B & C Block

 

 

D, F, H, J & K Blocks

All post to be delivered and collected from the old breakpoint room

 

 

E Block

In the corridor at the bottom of the stairs

 

 

G Block

Under the stairs in the main foyer

 

 

CSC/Reception

One collection per day at 14:45

 

 

Treasure House     

Archives/Tourism/Museums: Despatch will deliver in a morning (if anything) and if you have post to collect, please telephone Despatch on 3556

 

 

DX

Will continue as normal

The delivery/collection times will be 10am, 1pm and 3.30pm (3pm on a Friday) unless otherwise indicated above.

Boxes will be provided with "Despatch Mail to Be Collected" and "Despatch Mail to Be Delivered" signs on them. 

The current procedure for any post for HR, land charges, legal support, cashiers and rents (letter box tracked) will continue as normal, however, the post will be taken into the Despatch reception area for collection.

All post to be sent out should be double banded together (if numerous items) with the bar code securely attached. 

Delivered items will be placed in document wallets (double banded to ensure securely closed) with the details as currently used. Post which is currently not opened will continue not to be opened.

All recorded deliveries that need signing for are to be collected from Despatch. Despatch staff will telephone colleagues to collect these.

Parcels: colleagues will be contacted to collect and will be asked for identification (ID Badge) before a parcel is released.
