Meet the Chief Virtual Roadshow - Wednesday, 20 May (3pm)
Tue, 19 May 2020

Chief Executive Caroline Lacey will be hosting a second virtual roadshow event, via Microsoft Teams, on Wednesday, 20 May at 3pm.

The first event was attended by more than 600 members of staff and gave them the chance to hear the latest on the council's response to the coronavirus and also to ask questions directly, either in real-time via the chat box or live and in person via webcam.

"This first virtual roadshow event went really well, with over 600 people taking part. I would like to thank all of those staff who joined in for their time and I'd also like to thank those people who asked me questions. I tried to get through as many as possible and we will try and answer those questions that didn't via direct email and through articles on the intranet, in The Grapevine and through email newsletter," said Caroline.

"If you missed the event on Monday, I'd encourage you to join in on Wednesday - if you can.

"If staff feel that these events are useful, we will look to host more of them."

For those who wish to just listen or ask questions via the chat box on Wednesday, all you have to do is click on the event link, below, and join.

Meet the Chief Virtual Roadshow - Wednesday, 20 May

If you would like to ask a question live and in person, please email pressoffice@eastriding.gov.uk and ICT can make arrangements for you to be invited into the event.

Please note you will be asking your question live so would be on camera (if you have one) and will need a microphone at minimum.

Please title emails as 'Meet the Chief Virtual Roadshow Question'.

You don't need to use a council device to take part in the event, you can use any device with internet access, whether a personal laptop, PC or smartphone.

You do not need a Microsoft Teams account to access the event, as it will launch through your internet browser.

The event will last around an hour and Caroline will aim to answer as many questions as possible, but any that don't get asked - due to time constraints - will be noted and responses provided through articles in The Grapevine or on the intranet. Where possible they can also be responded to directly with the member of staff via email.

If you think of a question after the event that you would like to ask Caroline, you can complete the simple form on the vision section of the intranet at https://insight.eastriding.gov.uk/vision/

You can also send your comments/questions via email to Suggestionbox@eastriding.gov.uk  (emails can be sent from your personal email account if you don't have a council email address)

Or send a free text starting TEXTTHECHIEF followed by a space, and then your message to Caroline, to 80800.
