Training & Development opportunity with Common Purpose
Fri, 12 Jun 2020

The Common Purpose Programme for Emerging Leaders (Streetwise MBA) is a great opportunity for emerging leaders in the council to enhance their future career prospects, broaden their horizons across sectors and enhance their professional networks.

It is part of our commitment to develop our leaders across the council to help us meet the challenges ahead.

The programme contains a mix of master classes, leadership insights and sessions where participants will work together in a diverse peer group from different sectors, backgrounds and experiences to solve challenging problems, reflect on how others are leading and apply their learning to their own leadership. It will also incorporate an international element and the opportunity to connect with peers from across the world as well as locally.

Applications are now open for the September 2020 programme, which is funded by the council. It will be delivered digitally, over eight weeks of interactive learning, avoiding face-to-face contact and the need to travel from your home or office base.

You can find out more about the programme here or by speaking to Sara Arnold (Sara.Arnold@eastriding.gov.uk), and you can apply at https://commonpurpose.org/leadership-programmes/the-common-purpose-programme/emerging-leaders-apply/ Please speak to your line manager prior to applying.

(When completing the application form and when prompted please select 'Leeds' from the drop down list of nearest local cohort.)

The closing date for applications is Friday, 3 July 2020. All successful applicants will be notified by 17 July 2020 for a programme start of 4 September 2020.

Other opportunities for this programme will be publicised in the future.
