The staff podcast, 'I Heard it through the Grapevine,' is back with another new edition for April!

Presented by Steve Eccles from the Public Relations team and Helena Cox, curator of Beverley Art Gallery, the April edition features:

  • The latest update from Caroline Lacey about agile working and what it means for all of us
  • An interview with Lisa Fortune of Sodexo about the brand new My East Riding Rewards scheme
  • A chat with library assistant Brenda Watson, who decided to stop buying new clothes for a whole year!
  • More memories from Alan Menzies from the last 25 years of the council
  • A Live Well Work Well feature on coping with stress
  • A chance to win a family ticket to Sewerby Hall and Gardens in our competition.

What is a podcast?
A podcast is a series of digital audio files made available on a regular basis. Podcasts can be listened to online or downloaded onto a computer or mobile device to listen to later.

How can I access this out of work?
Staff can access the podcast via the intranet from home and can also listen to the podcast for free via SoundCloud.
You can also download the podcast from SoundCloud to listen to on another device but will need to create an account to do this.

Is the podcast content available in other ways?
I Heard It Through The Grapevine has been developed by the corporate communications team to complement other internal communications channels, including the intranet and The Grapevine. Some features will appear across all three channels.

On request, a transcript of the podcast can be provided. This can be requested by emailing pressoffice@eastriding.gov.uk

Can I make suggestions for future editions?
Staff are encouraged to submit their ideas for items to be included in future editions by emailing pressoffice@eastriding.gov.uk

How do I take part in the competition?
After listening to the podcast, staff wishing to enter the competition should email their answer to pressoffice@eastriding.gov.uk and put 'Podcast Competition' as the title.
